THE IDEA
In December 2016 we were sitting in a small cozy Café somewhere in Salzburg. We could see the roaster cooling the fresh roasted beans. The coffee was kind of good but not special. At that time, we were already addicted to good coffee. Someone said: “We should do something like this in Vienna – but in really good.” That was the spark for KAFFEIN.
Since then, we put a huge amount of energy, love, and passion into developing KAFFEIN. We knew that we wanted to follow two fundamental ideas: first one – strive for the best possible quality in every aspect of our actions, and second – always seek for the best way to avoid or at least minimise human and environmental impact.
With this mindset we dived into the complex world of coffee. To be honest – the path we chose is not always easy, sometimes bumpy, sometimes tiresome, but it is always deeply rewarding. To be able to monitor the whole process, the evolution of coffee from the very special soil in some hidden part of the world to the wow-moment, when someone takes the first sip out of an espresso cup, makes it all worthwhile.
The magical attraction that good coffee has on people makes it unparalleled in its capability to connect and blend utterly opposite human ways all over the world. So we will keep pressing ahead to provide this very special human connectivity each and every day – just because we love it.
